Competence development Encouraging renewal and initiative  

Finnforest’s key success factor is a skilled personnel committed to a culture of continuous improvement. We provide our employees with diverse opportunities for systematic competence development and encourage them to actively maintain and further develop their professional skills. The competence development of employees is monitored and managed through annual performance appraisal discussions.

The competence of production personnel is developed by multi-skill training and by encouraging employees to complete vocational degrees.

Change Workshops

Continuous improvement of employees’ competence and professional skills are critical competitive factors in today’s increasingly challenging business environment. We apply the Change Workshop method to help our employees readjust to continuous change, which has become part of our everyday life.

At Change Workshops, employees can actively participate in the development of their own work. They are also encouraged to identify and analyse the development needs that are necessary for Finnforest to meet the new challenges of its competitive business environment.
