Finnforest Kesto pressure-treated wood products are also available in an attractive brown. Finnforest Kesto Brown is pressure-treated in the same way as Kesto A and AB (HC4 and HC3), but has had a brown dye added to the wood preservative solution during the process. The dye and preservative is forced deep into the timber protecting the vulnerable sapwood zone. Due to the characteristics of wood, there may be tonal differences. Kesto Brown can be used for many different applications such as fencing, timber decking (terraces) and other landscaping and construction timbers. Regular coating with a similar tone, such as brown wood oil, can prolong its natural colour.
