The products should be installed according to Finnforest general recommendations and local norms and regulations. Please ask for end use specific detailed installation instructions from your local sales office.
Important information
- Use stainless steel screws, fixings and metal parts with ThermoWood. Always pre-drill pilot holes prior to fixing with screws
- Choose nails and screw types according to our end use specific installation instructions.
- Keep ThermoWood products out of contact with the ground or standing water.
- To maintain the rich color of ThermoWood and prevent weathering effects (i.e. surface cracking and potential for algae growth) the products should be treated before installation with brown translucent stain or oil close to original ThermoWood color. Without treatment, exposure to UV light will cause the colour to turn silver gray. The surface treatment should be applied on ThermoWood in accordance with the recommendations of the paint manufacturer.
